Run the target and control proteins through the reciprocal columns to deplete shared abundant proteins
For 2-DE gel analysis to identify potential protein markers, please visit and request: www.kendricklabs.com
Price for RAD, 2D gels/computer analysis, electronic image and report for 1 pair of sample: $3600 see KLabNews
New product: Global Abundant Proteins Affinity Removal (GAPAR-Hu): $600/kit.
GAPAR-Hu is an anti-normal human plasma total proteins column for affinity depletion (removal) of commonly shared abundant proteins from the normal and disease plasma samples, which will facilitate proteomic study for identifying new protein markers. The advantage of GAPAR (Global Abundant Proteins Affinity Removal) over MARS (Multiple Affinity Removal System) is that GAPAR removes most, if not all, of commonly shared abundant proteins and retains the unshared (unique), low abundant and non-antigenic proteins while MARS is designed for removing only a few known abundant proteins. GAPAR-Hu is highly recommended for identification of new plasma protein markers associated with diseases. The column can be re-used multiple times. You can pass plasma from both normal and patient and compare their proteomic profiles using 2DE gel or other proteomic tools. Click on GAPAR-Hu for more information.

Chickens Make Better Antibodies !
Chicken Antibody Products and Services
GeneTel is specializing in providing chicken IgY antibody products and low cost, high quality custom antibody production services using laying hens against known and novel proteins. GeneTel has developed a proprietary technology to make antibodies against various novel proteins or peptides using laying hens. There are many advantages of using laying hens to produce antibodies compared to using mammalian species. First, antibodies can be obtained directly from eggs, which minimize the handling of chickens after immunization. To obtain antibodies from animals such as rabbits and mice one needs to go through the extensive process of collecting blood samples through either bleeding or sacrificing the animals. Such an invasive process is not used in chicken Ab production. Second, antibodies are rich in chicken eggs (50-100mg chicken IgG or IgY per egg) and are easy to be purified from. In general, one may obtain 4-7 eggs from a hen per week, but cannot bleed rabbit every day for immune sera. Thus the final yield of chicken Ab from a hen would be many folds of that from a rabbit. Third, chickens can be used to generate Abs against those highly conserved antigens among mammalian species, including human, mouse, rabbit and goat etc, which are the common sources of research Abs. Production of antibodies against these highly conserved antigens by mammalian species is normally difficult because these antigens are not recognized as “foreign” by the mammalian species. Fourth, chicken antibodies have been proven to have similar affinity as antibodies from other sources. Thus, it is an ideal system to use laying hens for generation of an array of Abs against proteomes.
